How Kaduna Residents Wash Streets Shortly After Governor El-Rufai’s Visits To The Area.

Recently, some Kaduna residents reportedly washed their streets with soap and water, shortly after Governor El-Rufai’s visited for his 2019 governorship campaign.

Residents of Birnin Gwari LGA, the local government badly affected by activities of bandits and kidnappers also burned APC flags and brooms, as a sign of rejection of the party in the coming general election.

The Kaduna residents who washed their streets with soap and water shortly after Governor El-Rufai’s visit, had previously been promised a faculty of Kaduna State University and the Governor had also allegedly promised them that he will relocate his office to the area pending when bandits ravaging the area are flushed out. However it was gathered that none of these alleged promises was fulfilled.

Recall that in May 2018, it was reported that the death toll in armed bandits attack in Gwaska Community, Birnin Gwari Local Government of Kaduna State rose to 61. Sources said more corpses were recovered in the surrounding bushes during a search for missing persons by members of the local vigilante group and security agents.

The Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai who visited Gwaska community to commiserate with the people over the killings, said the purpose of the visit was to console the people, see things for himself and talk directly to the people. He assured that everything was being done to end the killings.
